Conducting a United Way campaign is an opportunity for employees at D & L Oil Tools to engage in team building, make their community a better place, and have some fun on the job.

“It’s really become a tradition that employees look forward to,” said Lesli Cole, human resources director at D & L. She has served as the company’s United Way Employee Campaign Coordinator, or ECC, since 2008.

Each year, the D & L campaign begins with the support and enthusiasm of the company’s leader, Lee Eslicker.

“He really gets everyone excited about the campaign,” Cole says. “It’s important for company leadership to get engaged and show their support.”

D & L employees engage in a variety of fun-raising and fundraising activities during the fall campaign, including bingo, cookouts and bake sales.

“Giving incentives like days off and gift cards are always popular,” she says. “And we all feel good about helping our community.”
