Kelli’s Story

We All Need Help Sometimes

Kellie Ostmeyer

Environmental and Engineering Manager, Quiktrip Member, Campaign Cabinet

Giving back to her community is a personal decision for Kelli Ostmeyer.

“So many people have helped me in my life, I feel it’s important to give back,” she says.

Kelli overcame substance abuse and credits the support of friends and family for her success. She has been clean and sober since 1996.

Now she is an environmental and engineering manager at the QuikTrip Corporation in Tulsa. She was a member of the Tulsa Area United Way Campaign Cabinet from 2010-2012, chair of the QT United Way campaign in 2010 and has served on the QT United Way committee from 2008-2012.

“It’s been the most rewarding experience of my life,” Kelli says of her volunteerism with the United Way. “I’ve met some amazing, like-minded individuals.”

In addition to fundraising, Kelli also believes in the importance of educating her friends and co-workers about the services offered by United Way agencies. Recently, LIFE Senior Services provided her with guidance to help care for her mother.

“We all need a little help sometimes,” she says. “That’s what the United Way is all about.”
